Provision of offshore consents management and project management services to the Codling Wind Park project, the largest offshore wind farm development planned for the Irish Sea. Supporting the project in the development of a consenting strategy and approach to EIA, including understanding and interpretation of the new Marine Area Planning (MAP) Bill and consenting regime. Provision of pre application project management services including, supporting wind farm layout refinement, export cable route and landfall site selection and engineering design, survey management support (including geotechnical, geophysical and EIA) and fisheries cooperation agreements and negotiation. Management of EIA approach and development and stakeholder consultation to build relationships and understand key issues and risks. Provision of wider project management services, including supporting programme development, budget development and management and risk management and reporting to senior management team.

 

Provision of Offshore Consents Management services to Seagreen Wind Energy Limited, to support the delivery of the largest offshore wind farm in Scottish waters. Management of post consent and pre-construction activities to support the project through Financial Close, including effective discharge of pre-commencement consent conditions to ensure start on site against project programme. Management of new consent and licence applications, as required, to realise design changes and oversight of offshore preconstruction surveys and construction and post construction monitoring programmes, to ensure compliance with consent conditions and monitoring commitments. Offshore construction for the Seagreen Project commenced in December 2020 in line with project programme.

 

Project management services to support Seagreen Wind Energy Ltd in the delivery of a new ‘optimised’ consent applications for offshore wind farm projects within the Phase 1 area of the Firth of Forth Zone. Responsibilities included, preparation and delivery of Section 36 consents and Marine Licence applications and supporting environmental information, subcontractor management to deliver necessary surveys, identification and management of key risks and mitigation requirements, leading and supporting engagement with key stakeholders; and working closely with client teams and project engineers, to ensure effective communication and successful delivery of the consent applications and supporting documentation. The optimised consents applications were successfully submitted in September 2018.  

 

Atlantic SuperConnection LLP Provision of consents advice to ASC LLP and the development and delivery of a consenting strategy for the proposed Atlantic Super Connection, an HVDC cable development between Iceland and the UK.

 

Environmental Manager working across both the consented Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon (SBTL) and fleet (future) lagoon projects. Responsible for the development, delivery and approval of key project information and documentation required to satisfy Development Consent Order (DCO) Requirements and Marine Licence Conditions. Management and oversight of additional consent applications required, including Town and Country Planning applications and Marine Licence applications. Project Management including, financial, programme and risk management and management of subcontractor teams.

 

Working as Offshore EIA Manager for the Navitus Bay Round 3 wind farm project on the south coast of England, to support the client in the development and delivery of all offshore ES chapters for the wind farm and export cable route. Responsibilities including technical, risk and QA review of all offshore chapters, project management, subcontractor management, leading consultation and managing relationships with key stakeholders, assessing project risks and developing mitigation strategies.

 

Supporting the Crown Estate in the delivery of a ‘Recommendations Report’ on the design envelope approach for offshore infrastructure projects, including wind farm and wave and tidal impact assessments.

 

Provision of EIA support services and technical review of EIA chapters, proposed mitigation and underpinning technical assessments, to ensure EIAs are fit for purpose and in line with relevant legislation and guidance.
